The campsite is located just on the outskirts of the small town of Ramona, CA. If you are passing through Ramona and are an avid hiker, then I would recommend you take a hike to Potato Chip Rock.
It is an elevated hike on a paved road. When you get to the top of mountain, you can take your epic pictures on top of Potato Chip Rock.
Local Attractions
Julian, CA
Julian is a quaint, historical town that began in the 1870’s as part of the gold rush. Visit downtown and do some antique shopping. If you do visit Julian, then you absolutely need to try one of their famous Julian Apple Pies. Don’t forget the vanilla ice cream.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
A short drive of 16 miles will take you to the famous San Diego Zoo Safari Park. This 1,800 acre park provides for a more natural viewing of the over 300 animal species in the park. Animals include antelopes, giraffes, cheetahs, tigers, and lions.
