Are you looking for a great RV Park in Oceanside, CA to stay at? Average Joe Camper recently stayed there and I am giving you “9 reasons why you should stay at Oceanside RV Park.”
The RV park is located at 1510 S. Coast Hwy, Oceanside, CA 92054
Who doesn’t enjoy the beach? Oceanside RV Park is located on Coast Highway. It is just a short 10 minute walk to the beach where you can surf, sunbathe, relax, and walk in the sand. Visit the famous Oceanside Pier which may not be as famous as the Santa Monica pier but at least it’s famous in Oceanside.
Great Park Amenities
Full Hook Ups with 30 amp power
Each site accomodates 1 RV, 1 vehicle, and two guests
Free Wi-Fi, although the reception can be spotty at times
Swimming pool and jacuzzi
Small general store
How many RV Parks offer tent camping sites? Not that many. For those that like to experience true camping, Oceanside RV Park has a few tent camping sites which offer seclusion and a grassy area to pop your tent. Look at the site, just like your backyard. Tent camping rates are reasonable at around $50 per day.
Skydiving…yes I said skydiving.
Isn’t that on your bucket list? If not then you must be a conservative chicken like me. The Oceanside Municipal Airport is a short drive away and offers skydiving to the general public. Fly high out a plane at 13,000 feet above the earth and see the beautiful pacific ocean.
For those of you with young kids, Legoland is a great day for family fun. I recommend the Dragon roller coaster for the thrill seekers. The park has over 50 rides, shows, and attraction to keep you busy. Legoland is just 7 miles away from the RV park.
A dog park
Oceanside RV park has a nice little dog park for your furry friends. I am a dog lover and if you are like me, my dogs are family. I enjoy an RV park when my dogs have their own park to enjoy. Let them run around, have fun, and play fetch.
Visit the Old Mission San Luis Rey
The historic mission is just 6 miles away from the RV Park. Here you will be able to take pictures of the historic San Luis Rey mission church which has been standing since 1815. See the oldest pepper tree in California. It was planted in 1830 and still survives today. Or you can visit the cemetery which has been in continuous use since the founding of the mission in 1798.
Great restaurants nearby.
The RV Park is a short drive to Oceanside Harbor. There you can find great restaurants such as:
Harbor Fish & Chips
Rockin Baja Lobster
Stratford at the Harbor
The park is committed to being green
Oceanside RV Park has 850 solar panels throughout the park. These solar panels have prevented 735,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from entering our atmosphere. This is equivalent to planting 1,341 trees.
